Christmas Eve is always special at Grandma's house. We sit around the tree and talk about everything. We always had Grandma's famous spice cookies and milk. This is a joyous time for everyone. At 12:00 midnight, we opened presents. In our family gift-giving is a huge part in showing love to one another. Mama and Daddy pass out the gifts. We are excited.

One Christmas I will always remember when I received this beautiful jewelry box. It is a treasure to me. Beautiful Jewelry Boxes As I sit and count my blessings, I realize there is nothing more precious than family. A family where you can share love and happiness together. Family who will be there in bad times, as well as good times. There is nothing like family.

The way my family always did Christmas was on Christmas Eve, it wasn't really centered around a dinner on Christmas Eve. It was more about keeping the kids calm. Sometime after dark is when we were going to open all the presents underneath the tree from Mom, Dad and the kids and everything - just the family presents was every Christmas Eve.

Grandma's Homemade Stew Recipe

The family loves her stew. It is one of my favorite meals. She would put in the stew everything, but the kitchen sink as the old saying goes.  Grandma's Homemade Stew Ingredients 1 1/2 lbs. stew meat or a small beef roast 3 large potatoes, peeled, cubed 2 large carrots, peeled and diced 1/2 cups chopped onions 2 large celery stalked, cubed 1 canned cut green beans, drained and washed 1 canned whole kernel corn drained and washed 1 canned diced tomatoes 1 can tomatoes sauce salt and pepper to taste Place cubed meat in large skillet with water.
